2011 Ford Supermodel of the World - Philippines

Wow, wasn't it only 6 months ago when Danica won the SMOW Philippine nationals and just 4 months ago when she won the international title?! Yup, the hey moved up the Ford Supermodel of the World nationals to May, rather than November, perhaps in order to have more time to train the winning candidate for the international competition. Good move! 

Anyway, superstylist Patrick Galang and I teamed up (yet again), this time shooting the candidates for this year's national finals. We wanted something different from the usual shoots they do for the competition, so we did this water shoot, and we really love how it turned out! (Click to enlarge)

The competition was held May 14, I was boarding a plane to Berlin a few minutes before the competition started. I couldn't stop checking twitter (at the expense of high data roaming rates [€10 per 1MB!]) to see if my top favorite Manuela made it. When I landed, I found out she made it to the top 3! Samantha, another favorite, won the competition. Congratulations to all the girls!
